So my new job seems to be going well.  I've had two weeks of training so far.  And learned a whole new language! Library language that is.  Basically I have been learning how to put in card catalogs into a computer system so that the computer can read it and then when people go to the library they can search for things.  It'll be interesting because I think that right now the company is doing international libraries.  I know that a library in Israel is the next project.  Fun :) Anyways, work is going well but not much to say about it because I'll be doing pretty much the same thing.  But I like it and it pays well.

Sam and I also joined a gym.  We've set a lot of goals about going and how to achieve a healthier lifestyle.  Sam's goal is to gain weight (muscle) and mine is to lose weight and gain muscle.  So far we've gone when we said we would so we'll see in about a month if we've kept up with our goal!

Leaving the Nursery

Well, I officially have a grown up 8 hour job....sort of.  It's not technically grown up because it's still wage based, but it is eight hours.  Which is nothing I've ever experienced Monday-Friday before.  Normally I'm cleaning toilets or making freaky fast sandwiches or during school being somewhat grown up in helping students in their academic needs, but even that was only a three hour day of work.  How am I going to make it to 8 hours every day five days a week?  Hopefully it won't be that bad.  Every other adult has had to go through it.

As for the job...the official title is Data Technician.  I know sounds cool right?  Well, it's really just a data entry position for a company that helps libraries put their catalogs on computer systems.  So basically I'll be typing in the information into the system from a scanned catalog card.  Sounds boring I know, but I think it will be somewhat rewarding since I'll be making more money than I ever have before ( and if you knew what I will be making you might think me slightly pathetic because it's not really that much) and it will give Sam and I the opportunity to save money for emergencies and life in general.

There is one thing I do dread though...telling the job that I've had for the past two weeks that I'm quitting and won't be coming back next week...Oops.  Oh well they'll easily find another bozo to replace me.  It's not that hard.

Sammy's first day of school!

Well....today was Sam's first day back to school! YAY! He only had one class, "Living With Plants".  He found out that he gets to grow peas for the class.  Fun times.  Also, any student who grows their peas bigger than the teachers gets extra credit.  A challenge for Sam which I think he will sufficiently rise to.

Uhh...

Well...I started this blog (this is Erin by the way) because my friend, Marianne suggested it because she has one for her and her husband....so I decided to try it.  Sam doesn't know it yet, but I'm sure he won't mind :) So yeah...this is a lame first post but it will have to do because it's time for breakfast.
